A highly technical person pushing to the goal, but paying attention to every detail at the same time. Likes perfection, but realizes it does not exist. Always excited to do the job with the least possible resources, but always eager to use the latest tools and technologies, budget permitted. When the logical thinking comes to a dead end, just looks around and finds a way. Always aware, at any time and any situation. Although knowing five languages is not enough, by itself it certainly helps when one has to convey his ideas.
In climbing that translates to the ideas found in Mark Twight's book "Climb Light, Fast, and High!"

I first went to the real mountains when I was 10 years old. I don't remember much of then, but it should have been fun, as now 14 years later I am still going to the mountains very often. Of course now my mountains are a bit different.
As most kids I always wanted to climb - trees, rocks, buildings - just anything. But it was not until high school that I joined University of Rousse Mountaineering club Akademik, when I started real climbing. At first rock climbing, then alpine. And then I went to my first winter mountain and I "fell in love".
Now I do mostly alpine-style of average difficulty (UIAA VI) and ice / mixed routes (WI5/MI4). Occasional free and indoor climbing is for keeping me fit.
In March 2002, on a snowboarding trip to Chamonix, France, I went up and did "Chere couloir" (350m D, WI5) on Mont Blanc du Tacul: North Face Triangle with a Belgian guy I never met after.
In March 2004, I spent a month with my British buggy Guy, ice and mixed climbing in The Rocky Mountains of Canada. Ice routes like "Weeping pillar" (170m V, WI 6), "Polar Circus" (700m V, WI5), "Curtain Call" (125m IV, WI6), "Kitty Hawk" (200m IV, WI5) were the main dish, but we did a few M8 mixed routes at Hafner Creek as well.
In Japan, I had several part-time jobs as an ice climbing instructor, guide, sub-leader and porter. These involved groups up to 15 people and two to 5 staff members.
I have taught several courses like "Introduction to Rock Climbing", "Basic Rope work", "Alpine-style protection" and others to different groups of people.
I was a member of The University Rescue Squad (URS) - a non-profit organization working closely with other rescue (Bulgarian Mountain Rescue Services, Bulgarian Fire Bureau, etc.) and humanitarian organizations (Bulgarian Red Cross, orphanages, homes for people with disabilities, etc.).
I have attended many courses on First Aid, Mountain First Aid, Search&Rescue, Vertical Rope Rescue and had taught myself courses "Rescue Rope Work", "Pulleys and Mechanical Systems for Rope Rescue" as a member of URS.
